The editorial officeshall not be held responsible for any damage deriving from the incorrectapplication of the techniques described in the magazine.Since when I started to be interested in the magazine, I had the chanceto scout for new talents and find out new and most evolved techniques, from the hyperrealism of some, to the graphic novel style of others, going through incredible free hands.Talking about modellers, I often defined them as artists, it is an impor-tant word, that poses anyway a question: are our beloved figures anart? It’s a long-standing issue, some says no, some acts like a newMichelangelo. It would be easy to say if there was an unique final definition of theword “art”.During centuries it indicated several things: for Plato art is the craft-sman translation, e.g. it is the copy of an object that is itself the copy ofan idea.Immanuel Kant says instead that art is a series of properties, percepti-ble and formal, identified by particular human mental faculties, liketaste and aesthetic , that generate pleasure. On the other hand, Arthur Danto claims that is not a kind of differentperception that characterises the aesthetic object in respect of anotherone, but the different cultural contest (and therefore Duchamp calls“fountain” a simple urinal and exhibits it in a museum). So I think thatour beloved figures could cross the borders of our showcases and exhi-bits, they could deservedly stay in a museum! Am I exaggerating?Maybe but before leaving you to the reading of this brand new issue, allow me a quote that maybe will make change your mind, think aboutyour “entropic” workbenches when you read it:“One has to have the chaos inside to give birth to a dancing star” (I.Kant)A big hugGiovanni AzzaràCreated in Italyhttps://www.facebook.com/pages/SOLDATINI/113176252048573?bookmark_t=page
